Lifting Where We Live: 4 Businesses, 1 Earth Day, and a Greener Community

At the Lift Where You Live Foundation, we believe that the best way to honor our planet is to get our hands dirty right where we stand. This Earth Day, we saw that mission in motion as four local businesses stepped up to lead, build, and beautify their immediate surroundings.

From office balconies to local trails, our partners proved that you don’t have to travel far to make a massive impact.

Bringing Nature to the Workplace

One of our participating businesses took the "beautify your space" challenge literally by transforming their office balcony. By planting vibrant new flower beds, they’ve created a sustainable green space that doesn't just look better—it provides a breath of fresh air for their team and local pollinators alike. It is a perfect example of how "Action" and "Presence" can change the energy of a workspace.

Service with a Heart for Mom

In another corner of our community, a dedicated team spent their afternoon potting flowers with a special goal in mind. These blooms aren't just for decoration; they are being prepared as gifts for local mothers this upcoming Mother’s Day. This project perfectly captures the spirit of our foundation: using our hands to create something that lifts the spirits of those around us.

Restoring Our Trails

Our final two business partners headed outdoors to hit the dirt. These teams took to a nearby community trail, spending the day clearing debris and trash to restore the natural beauty of the path. But they didn't stop at cleaning; they also planted wildflowers along the trail markers. In the coming months, those seeds will bloom into a lasting legacy of their hard work, providing a beautiful view for every hiker and runner who follows in their footsteps.

The Power of Partnership

This Earth Day wasn’t just about plants and trails—it was about Presence. It was about businesses deciding that their "neighborhood" includes the trail behind their office and the balcony where they take their breaks.

We are incredibly proud of these four teams for leading by example. They didn't just talk about sustainability; they grabbed shovels and made it happen.

Are you ready to lead the next project in your neighborhood? Whether it’s cleaning a highway, helping in a community garden, or sharing a skill with a neighbor, the best place to start is right in your own backyard.
